Management Guide for the External Services Center of the Elven Platform
The External Services Center on the Elven Platform is the bridge that connects you to the best tools on the market for monitoring, managing, and resolving incidents in a simple and efficient way. Imagine having in one place integrations with services like CloudWatch, Datadog, Google Cloud, Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, and Dynatrace, receiving alerts or incident notifications in real time and reacting quickly to any interruption. All of this with an intuitive interface designed to simplify your daily operations.
Accessing the External Services Center
Navigate to the main menu and click on Monitoring.
In the submenu, select the External Services item.
Working with the External Services Center
In the External Services Center of the Elven Platform, you have a consolidated and efficient view of all integrated external services. Each integration is clearly and neatly presented, with name, player, and status visible, allowing you to monitor your connections in a centralized way.
To make navigation even easier, it features an intuitive search bar that lets you quickly find services by name, along with smart filters that help refine your search by status, such as Outage, Operational, or Pending. Another important filter is the player, which allows you to narrow your search by integration providers like CloudWatch, Datadog, Google Cloud, Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, Dynatrace, etc.
To create a new integration in the External Services Center, simply click the + External Services button and you’ll be directed to the Services Hub within the External Services Monitoring section, where you’ll find all available integration providers on the Elven Platform. Keep in mind that this operation can also be accessed directly through the Services Hub. Everything is designed to make your navigation easier, allowing you to explore a curated selection of renowned services such as CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, Google Cloud, Sentry, MongoDB Atlas, Zabbix, and many others.
You can choose the service that best suits your needs, whether for performance monitoring, incident management, or to configure custom alerts. Integration with these services is simple and fast, bringing valuable data into the Elven Platform and helping optimize incident management and operations monitoring. With this flexibility, you gain more control over your operations, improving your systems’ performance in a practical, efficient, and hassle-free way.
Additionally, with the External Services Center, you have the freedom to customize notifications using Custom Alerts and Custom Incidents, tailoring the experience to your team’s needs. Whether you're tracking performance metrics, monitoring complex environments, or solving problems before they escalate, everything here is designed to be fluid, clear, and straightforward. It’s total control of your operations in the palm of your hand, with the care and convenience you deserve.
Glossary of Technical Terms
External Services Center: Integration hub within the Elven Platform that connects the platform to external services for monitoring, incident management, and real-time alerts. Pending: Integration is being configured or awaiting activation.
Services Hub: Area within the Elven Platform where you can explore all available external service providers for integration. Here, you’ll find tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, among others, which can be connected to the Elven Platform to enhance monitoring and incident management.
Integration Providers: External companies or platforms whose services can be integrated into the External Services Center of the Elven Platform. Examples include CloudWatch, Datadog, Google Cloud, Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, Dynatrace, among others.
Performance Monitoring: The process of tracking key metrics and KPIs to assess the health and performance of integrated systems and services. Tools like Datadog, Grafana, and Prometheus offer effective solutions for this type of monitoring.
Incident Management: The action of identifying, responding to, and resolving issues or failures in integrated services. The External Services Center facilitates this process by integrating tools that allow quick visualization and response to incidents.
