Creating a New Page
On the Status Pages screen, click the green New button in the top-right corner. This button is always available to make it easy to add new pages.
Configuring the New Status Page
On the creation screen, you’ll see the main fields for configuration. Each one is designed to be self-explanatory, but see the guidelines below to optimize your page:
Basic Details
Name: Enter a clear and descriptive name for the page. This title will be the main identifier for your users.
Slug: This field creates the unique URL identifier for your status page. It should be short, easy to read, and free of spaces or special characters.
Security and Privacy
Password: If you want the status page to be private, enter a password here. Users will need it to access the page. Tip: A public page is more accessible and saves time, especially for informational status updates. Use a password only if sensitive information is involved.
Customization and Context
Subtitle: Use this field to add a subtitle that provides additional context about the page. It can be a brief summary of the monitored services or a note about the update frequency. Tip: This field supports Markdown, allowing you to add formatting styles like bold or italic to highlight important information.
Notifications and Subscriptions
Enable Subscription: Turn this option on to allow users to subscribe and receive update notifications. A great way to keep everyone automatically informed.
Adding Assets to the Status Page
Below the basic information, you’ll see an area called Your Resources.
To select the information you want to display on your status page, first create a new Group.
Drag and Drop: Simply drag and drop the desired resources into this area. They will be displayed on the status page, providing a clear view of the monitored components.
Tip: Select only the essential resources to avoid overloading the page with information. This helps users quickly find what’s most important.
Finalize and Publish Your Status Page
Review all the information and resources added.
Click Save to complete the creation and publish the new status page.
The page is now ready to be accessed by users. They can view real-time status, subscribe to receive updates (if enabled), and quickly access critical information.
Subscribe to Updates
The Status Page of the Elven Platform was designed to ensure transparency and agility in communication with you. That’s why we offer two simple ways to stay informed about important events on your Status Page, such as scheduled maintenance or incidents: via SMS or Webhook.
If you prefer something direct and personal, you can register your phone number to receive notifications by text message. This way, even when you're away from your computer, you’ll stay informed in real time about any critical updates. Just enter and confirm your number, check the reCAPTCHA, and authorize the notifications, all in just a few clicks.
For those who want a more advanced level of integration, we offer the option to receive notifications via Webhook. This feature is ideal for technical teams that need to automate processes or centralize alerts in tools like Slack, Microsoft Teams, or internal systems. You provide the URL of your endpoint, define how many times the retry attempts should occur in case of failure, and can also set up an email to be notified if something goes wrong.
All of this is available through a simple, direct, and user-friendly interface, so you can maintain control of your environment without complications.
Activate Your Status Page with Your Own Domain (Optional)
Bring your Status Page to life with a simple domain adjustment. Create a CNAME record with the name of your choice and point it to proxy-statuspages.elven.works. This small step ensures that your status page is accessible directly through your domain, providing a smoother experience for your users.
Once completed, reach out to us through this Link. Then, select the option Submit a request or incident so our team can configure your custom status page, providing the Status Page used and the configured CNAME entry. Within 48 business hours, your Status Page will be active and ready to communicate transparency and reliability to your audience.
Optimizing Your Status Page: Best Practices
Update Regularly: Keep your status page always up to date so users have accurate and real-time information.
Use Clear Titles: Make sure the name and subtitle of the page clearly communicate what the page covers.
Notification Subscriptions: Consider enabling subscriptions so users can be automatically informed, reducing the number of status inquiries.
Creating a well-structured Status Page provides a smooth user experience and improves communication with your audience. Remember: clear communication reduces confusion and increases user trust in your services.
With these steps and best practices, your Status Page on the Elven Platform will be set up to meet demand, making it easier for users to navigate and access information.
